CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOWITION OE APPRECIATION
TO
HOWARD 1TZKOWITZ
FOR FIVE YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE
ON THE DESIGN REVIEW BOARD
WHEREAS, on June 20,1988, the City Council of the City of San Rafael appointed Howard Itzkowitz
to serve a four year tern on the Design Review Board of the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Howard Itzkowitz diligently performed his duties as a Design Review Board member
during this term and represented the interests of the residents of the City by
encouraging well-designed projects which were compatible with neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of his performance as a Design Review Board member, the City Council
appointed Howard Itzkowitz to a second term on the Design Review Board on June 15,
1992; and
WHEREAS, during his five years on the Design Review Board, Howard Itzkowitz participated in the
review of many projects of great importance to the future design and environment of
the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, Howard Itzkowitz performed his Design Review Board duties with great courtesy and
respect for the public, and many times guided the Board to reach a consensus on
difficult design issues; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the diligent manner in which Howard has
performed his duties and the many hours of public service spent in behalf of the City of
San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael CIty Council, on behalf of the residents of the
City of San Rafael, hereby expresses its appreciation to Howard Itzkowitz for his outstanding contribution
in promoting excellence in design for the City of San Rafael which will improve the quality of the lives of
the current and future residents of San Rafael.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at the regular meeting of the City of San Rafael City Council held
on the 19th day of July, 1993.
