RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROPRIATING $26,954 FROM THE DAVIDSON BEQUEST FOR REPLACEMENT OF A
TOTAL OF 170 LIBRARY LIGHT FIXTURES IN THE AREA OF THE LIBRARY HOUSING
THE ADULT COLLECTION
WHEREAS, the light fixtures on the second floor of the north wing of the Library are
over thirty four years old and in need of replacement; and
WHEREAS, now is a propitious time to replace said fixtures, as the old fixtures have
been removed due to the construction project to siesmically reinforce the Library,; and
WHEREAS, installing new fixtures will reduce energy consumption and result in
significant annual savings in the operation of the Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby appropriates $26,954 from the Davidson Bequest for the purchase and installation of
170 new light fixtures in the area of the Library housing the adult collection, said installation
to be done by West Bay Builders through a change order in the existing contract between the
City of San Rafael and West Bay Builders.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting
of the City Council of said City held on Monday the 2nd day of August ,1993, by the
following vote to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Cohen, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS : None
