CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
CLIFFORD P. ELBING
SAN RAFAEL FIRE COMMISSIONER
WHEREAS, Cliff Elbing was appointed to the San Rafael Fire
Commission on February 7, 1977, and has served on the Fire
Commission for nearly seventeen years, also serving as
Chairman; and
WHEREAS, Cliff's service on the Fire Commission greatly in-
fluenced the creation of many new programs in the Fire
Department, especially the implementation of the Paramedic
Program; and
WHEREAS, Cliff was always ready to assist the Fire Depart-
ment in any endeavor and had a keen interest in the better-
ment of the Fire Department and service to the community;
and
WHEREAS, Cliff served on the Fire Commission during the
adoption of Sprinkler System and Smoke Detection Ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the -City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby extends their sincere appreciation
for the contribution Cliff has made to the betterment of the
Community and its residents.
