A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING
THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO PURCHASE A VIDEODISC
AND SATELLITE ANTENNA SYSTEM FOR POLICE TRAINING
(COST TO BE REIMBURSED BY P.O.S.T.)
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael employs peace officers and desires to
maintain a high standard of professional training, and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael recognizes the connection between
training and the delivery of professional service to the public, and _
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael desires to make use of available
technology to enhance police training.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of San
Rafael hereby authorizes the Chief of Police to purchase and install a satellite
antenna and videodisc system in the police department contingent upon
reimbursement for the total cost of the project from the California Commission•
on Peace Officer Standards and Training.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at
a regular meeting of the council of said city on Monday, the 3rd day of May,
1993, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS : None
