HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 8783 (Juvenile Justice Grant)RESOLUTION NO. 8783 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO APPLY FOR A STATE OF CALIFORNIA, OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING (OCJP) JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY PREVENTION PROGRAM GRANT. WHEREAS, the State of California, Office of Criminal Justice Planning (OCJP) allocates funds for various grant projects; and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police requests authorization to apply for such grant funds meeting the funding guidelines of OCJP; and WHEREAS, the grant requested is to assist in the funding for a juvenile justice and delinquency prevention program in the San Rafael City School District; and. WHEREAS, it is agreed that any liability arising out of the performance of this grant award agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Chief of Police is authorized to submit a grant application to the State of California, Office of Criminal Justice Planning (OCJP) to fund juvenile justice and delinquency prevention program in the San Rafael City School District. I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday, the 16th day of November, 1992, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members: Breiner, Cohen, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Boro NOTES: Council Members: None ABSENT: Council Members: None AN.1� NE M.
