RESOLUTION NO. 8636
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
UTION OF ftPPRECIRTION
TO
OFFICER MICHAEL FIELDING
WHEREAS, on January
Cities Police Department
vehicle and later proved
in the Marin County area,
24, 1991, Detective Mattos of the Twin
sighted Muhamud Jamal driving a stolen
to be responsible for over 100 burglaries
and
WHEREAS, a high speed chase ensued in

his handgun directly at Officer Fielding
WHEREAS, although Officers Fielding and Cook and innocent
citizens could have been seriously injured or killed during this
incident, the officers did not hesitate in pursuing and taking him
into custody; and
WHEREAS, Officers Fielding and
March 20, 1992 as Peace Officers of
Peace Officers Association.
Cook were honored on Friday,
the Year by the Marin County
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council appreciates, honors and thanks Officer Michael Fielding for
his most courageous actions in the line of duty.
