HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 8668 (Fence Construction)RESOLUTION NO. 8 6 6 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE FOR AND PARTICIPATION IN FENCE CONSTRUCTION ADJACENT TO CITY %j� w xtju LAND AND 3060 AND 3070 KERNER BOULEVARD (NOT TO EXCEED $2,430.20) WHEREAS, during the past few months. City personnel have had to remove numerous truck loads of debris which TAere dumped on City owned land adjacent to the Canalways site; and WHEREAS, the Police Park Ranger has had to spend a great deal of time attempting to curtail trespassing on said City owned land; and WHEREAS, property owners adjacent to said City owned land have asked the City to share in the cost of constructing a fence between said City owned land and their property; and WHEREAS, said fence construction would eliminate the time and expense associated with the debris removal and would also eliminate the enforcement problem; and WHEREAS, it would seem appropriate for the City Council to consider sharing in the cost for said fence construction since it would allow City staff to be utilized more efficiently in other areas; and $2,430.20. WHEREAS, the City's share of the cost for said fence construction would be NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Rafael to authorize the expenditure of $2,430.20 from unappropriated reserves for the City's share of construction of a fence adjacent to City owned land and 3060 and 3070 Kerner Boulevard. I, JEANNE. M.
