A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE
STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION FOR A FEDERAL BLOCK CHILD
CARE AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES GRANT FOR CHILD
CARE SCHOLARSHIPS (EAST SAN RAFAEL)
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael is eligible to apply for State
Department of Education Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Education has designated
$121,000.00 for Child Care and Development Seivicesin Marin County to be
administered by the State Department of Education, Child Development
Division; and
WHEREAS, the State Child Development Division has requested
applications to provide Federal Block Grant (FBG) Child Care and
Development Services through Family Child Care Home (FCCH), Center -
Based (CB) and Alternative Payment (AP) programs; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael Child Care Program meets the basic
requirements and criteria for funding eligibility;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby authorizes application for said grant funds for 1991/92.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Pamela J. Nicolai, City Manager, is
hereby authorized to execute said grant application.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
at a gegu l a r meeting of the City Council of said City, held on Mondav the
6th day of January , 1992, by the following vote, to wit:
