A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL APPOINTING
SUZANNE GOLT, ASSISTANT CITY
MANAGER, AS THE AMERICANS WITH
DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) COORDINATOR
FOR THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
WHEREAS, President Bush signed the Americans With Disabilities
Act, Public Law 101-336, hereinafter ADA, in to law on July 26,
1990; and
WHEREAS, Title II of the ADA entitled Public Services, which
goes into effect on January 26, 1992, protects "qualified
individuals with disabilities from discrimination on the basis of
disability and the services, programs, and activities of all public
agencies"; and
WHEREAS, the ADA requires that public agencies which employ
fifty (50) or more individuals must designate at least one employee
to coordinate its efforts to comply with and carry out the
responsibilities of ADA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council appoints Suzanne Golt, Assistant City Manager, as the ADA
Coordinator.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on Tuesday, the twenty-first day of January, 1992,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS:Breiner, Cohen, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Boro
