A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL REJECTING THE BID RECEIVED FOR A
RIDING TURF MOWER AND DIRECTING STAFF TO CALL
FOR NEW BIDS
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City's Equipment Replacement
Program for 1991/92, specifications were drawn and bids solicited
for a riding turf mower; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on January 15, 1992;
and
WHEREAS, Western Lawn Equipment Company was the only bidder;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that had more vendors been contacted,
additional bids would have been received; and
WHEREAS, it would be in the public's best interest to reject
the one bid received and solicit new bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council that the bid of Western Lawn Equipment Company (the only
bid received) for a riding turf mower is hereby rejected and staff
is directed to solicit new bids for said riding mower.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on Tuesdav , the 18th day of
February , 1992, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Cohen, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
