PRESENTS THIS
RESUhUTION OF fiPPRECIRTION
TO
ROY BUTTS
WHEREAS, Roy Butts is retiring as Code Enforcement Officer after twelve
years of dedicated service to the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, he has consistently applied a commitment to excellence and
hard work along with outstanding administrative and
investigative skills resulting in a very high level of cases
successfully processed and closed; and
WHEREAS, Roy has brought to the job a refreshingly practical, down-to-
earth approach to doing business, a sense of fair play and
communication skills that allowed most complaints and code
violations to be cured through cooperation rather than
litigation; and
WHEREAS, he is one of the founders of the California Code Enforcement
Officers Association, contributing his knowledge and expertise
to the development of his profession; and
WHEREAS, Roy has performed his duties with such a special level of care
and dedication that he will be difficult to replace; and
WHEREAS, Roy is respected and fondly admired by his colleagues at City
Hall and his many friends in the community for his strength of
character, professionalism, good humor and kindness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council does
express sincere gratitude and appreciation for Roy's
dedication, talent, accomplishment and hard work and wishes
Roy and his wife Karen health and happiness and continued
success in all their endeavors.
