CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOMITION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
SAN RAFAEL LIONS CLUB
WHEREAS, in the spirit of service to the community, the
San Rafael Lions Club has been searching for a
community project to benefit the City of San Rafael;
and
WHEREAS, for the past several years they have been considering
the removal of all. illegally posted signs on utility
poles along Second and Third Streets; and
WHEREAS, working in conjunction with Code Enforcement Officer
Roy Butts, the Lions Club has finally secured the
necessary permits and insurance to accomplish this
task; and
WHEREAS, the Lions Club intends to keep the utility poles
clean until the illegal posting stops; and
WHEREAS, this community project, christened "Project Nude",
started at the beginning of August.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council
of the City of San Rafael, on behalf of all its
citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to the San Rafael Lions Club for putting
into place this very worthwhile project.
