RESOLUTION CALLING FOR CONSTRUCTION BIDS
MARIPOSA ROAD ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
The City Council of the City of San Rafael resolves:
1. This Council has given preliminary approval to the report
of the Engineer of Work for improvements in Mariposa Road
Assessment District, City of San Rafael, Marin County, California.
The report includes plans and specifications for the construction
of improvements described in the report.
2. The City of San Rafael will receive sealed proposals for
this construction not later than 2:00 P.M. on October 13, 1992, in
the office of the Public Works Director of the City of San Rafael,
1400 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael, California. As soon thereater as
possible, the bids will be transported to the Public Works
Conference Room, Room 300, 1400 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael,
California, where they will be publicly opened, examined and
declared.
3. The City Council reserves the power in its discretion to
reject all proposals. The award of construction contract, if made,
shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder within the time
fixed in the specifications (or any extension of time agreed to by
the City and the lowest responsible bidder).
4. The City Clerk is directed to publish a notice inviting
sealed proposals in the INDEPENDENT JOURNAL in accordance with the
Local Agency Public Construction Act. The Engineer of Work is
authorized to give additional notice and to distribute additional
information as necessary in the judgment of the Engineer of Work,
to secure competitive bidding.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 21st day of September, 1992, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
DISQUALIFIED: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen (Councilmember Cohen disqualified
