RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
REAFFIRMING THE FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE
COUNTY -WIDE LIBRARY PLANNING STUDY, LIBRARY SERVICES IN
MARIN: PLANNING FOR EXCELLENCE
WHEREAS, The City Council is committed to providing quality library
service to the community, and for that reason participated with Marin County's
other five public libraries in a county -wide planning study to develop
coordinated long-range plans for public library services within the County; and
WHEREAS, On March 17,1986 the City Council accepted the findings and
recommendations in the Final Report of the planning study titled, Library
Services in Marin: Planning For Excellence,.; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has supported efforts to implement the
recommendations of the planning study, including plans for a new library
facility, and implementation of a county -wide library automated system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby reaffirms its commitment to the goals for improved library
service established in Library Services in Marin: Planning For Excellence.
I, PANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a Regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on
Monday the Fourth day of February ,1991, by the following vote to
wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Breiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
