RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 7869 TO AMEND
THE 1988 STATE PARK BOND ACT GRANT ALLOCATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael adopted
Resolution 7869 on December 5, 1988 authorizing application for grant
funds from the Per Capita Grant program under the California Wildlife,
Coastal and Park Land Conservation Act of 1988 for seven city playgrounds;
and,
WHEREAS, the original application was based on 1988 preliminary
cost estimates for the seven projects; and,
WHEREAS, the final cost estimates for the three playgrounds are
higher and require more funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby request the 1988 Park Bond Act funds be amended to
be allocated to only four park playground projects: at Gerstle Park, Victor
Jones Park, Terra Linda Park and Sun Valley Park.
