RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROPRIATING $9,150 FROM THE DAVIDSON BEQUEST
FOR THE PLANNING OF AN INTEGRATED ON-LINE LIBRARY SYSTEM
FISCAL YEAR 1991-92
WHEREAS, the Davidson Bequest was a gift to the San Rafael Public
Library by the late Evans Davidson in memory of his sister Della Davidson; and
WHEREAS, since receipt of the Bequest in 1982, a portion of the accrued
interest on the Bequest has been used to supplement the Library's budget; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of San Rafael, Mill Valley, Sausalito and the County
of Marin desire to improve library service to the public through the
implementation of a shared integrated on-line library system, and to this end
have executed a Joint Powers agreement for the planning of said system; and
WHEREAS, San Rafael's share of the cost to initiate planning for the
system will be $9,150.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby appropriates $9,150 of interest on the Davidson Bequest as
San Rafael's share for the planning of an integrated on-line library system.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a Regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on Mondav
the Seventeenth day of June , 1991 by the following vote to wit:
