A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATION OF $93,500
FROM UNALLOCATED RESERVES FOR MAINTENANCE
DREDGING OF SAN RAFAEL CREEK
Creek; and
WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers is preparing to dredge San Rafael
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael is the local sponsor required to
provide a disposal site for the dredged spoils; and
WHEREAS, there are no land based disposal sites available within close
proximity to the project; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael is required to pay the additional cost
of barging the dredged material to an approved water disposal site near Alcatraz;
and
WHEREAS, no funds were appropriated because of potential Federal
budget restrictions; and
WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers is proceeding with the project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby appropriates $93,500 from unallocated reserves to pay the
additional cost of barging the dredged spoils to Alcatraz.

certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 1st day of
July, 1991, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Breiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
