A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ADOPTING THE SHORELINE
ENHANCEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael General Plan 2000 calls for a Design
Master Plan for the San Rafael shoreline; and
WHEREAS, the Shoreline Master Plan was adopted in 1989; and
WHEREAS, the State Coastal Conservancy has funded an Enhancement
Plan to further define design and enhancement of four city owned parcels;

WHEREAS, MPA Design was hired to work with the city and the San
Rafael Shoreline Committee to complete the Enhancement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Draft San Rafael Shoreline Enhancement Plan has been
reviewed and approved by the Shoreline Committee, Park & Recreation
Commission and the Planning Commission, whose comments are
incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the next step towards implementation of the Shoreline
Enhancement Plan is to develop construction drawings which will be subject
to city and regulatory agency approvals as well as CEQA review.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby adopt the San Rafael Shoreline Enhancement Plan.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
at a Reqular meeting of the City Council of said City, held on MonaaY the
4th day of November , 1991, by the following vote, to wit:
