TO
Doris Law Bagley
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael adopted the San Rafael General Plan
2000 with a priority to complete a city-wide Child Care Needs Assessment
for the community, and:
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce Public Issues
Committee identified child care as a key issue to be reviewed, and:
WHEREAS, a steering committee comprised of representatives from
the City of San Rafael, Marin Child Care Council and the San Rafael Chamber
of Commerce developed a work program which was adopted by the City
Council, and:
WHEREAS, the City Council appointed a twenty-eight member Child
Care Task Force, representing all parts of the San Rafael community, to
complete the Child Care Needs Assessment, and:
WHEREAS, Doris Law Bagley served on the Child Care Task Force for
eighteen months representing San Rafael Chamber of Commerce, and
WHEREAS, Doris contributed valuable time and energy to assure the
success of the Child Care Needs Assessment Project, and:
WHEREAS, the Child Care Needs Assessment Final Report was
adopted by the San Rafael City Council October 1, 1990:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf
of the San Rafael community, does hereby extend its appreciation and
recognition of Doris Law Bagley for her dedicated efforts.
