CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOMITION OF liPPRECIRTIGIN
TO
Virginia Neto
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael adopted the San Rafael General Plan
2000 with a priority to complete a city-wide Child Care Needs Assessment
for the community, and;
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce Public Issues
Committee identified child care as a key issue to be reviewed, and;
WHEREAS, a steering committee comprised of representatives from
the City of San Rafael, Marin Child Care Council and the San Rafael Chamber
of Commerce developed a work program which was adopted by the City
Council, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council appointed a twenty-eight member Child
Care Task Force, representing all parts of the San Rafael Community, to
complete the Child Care Needs Assessment, and;
WHEREAS, Virginia Neto served on the Child Care Task Force for
eighteen months as representative for the American Association of
University Women, and;
WHEREAS, Virginia contributed valuable time and energy to assure
the success of the Child Care Needs Assessment Project, and;
WHEREAS, the Child Care Needs Assessment Final Report was
adopted by the San Rafael City Council October 1, 1990:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf
of the San Rafael community, does hereby extend its appreciation and
reco nition of Virginia Neto for her dedicated efforts.
