HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 8222 (Baypoint Lagoons Assessment District)RESOLUTION NO. 8222 RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES BAYPOINT LAGOONS LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT (Pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972) The City Council of the City of San Rafael resolves: This City Council approves that certain agreement between the City of San Rafael, and STUBER-STROEH ASSOCIATES, INC., for services as Engineer of Work for Baypoint Lagoons Landscaping and Lighting District, City of San Rafael, Marin County, California, dated the 20th day of August, 1990, and attached to this resolution. The Mayor is authorized to sign the agreement and the City Clerk is authorized to attest its execution. I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on the 20th day of August, 1990, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Breiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None JEAN�EONCA,� Clerk AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES BAYPOINT LAGOONS LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT This is an agreement for engineering services between the City of San Rafael, a municipal corporation of the State of California, referred to as Client, and STUBER-STROEH ASSOCIATES, INC., referred to as Engineer. 1. Client retains Engineer as Engineer of Work for Baypoint Lagoons Landscaping and Lighting District, to perform the following services: (a) Preparation of the report required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. (b) Compilation of a list of the names and addresses of all owners of land within the maintenance assessment district in accordance with records of the County Assessor or in accordance with title reports provided by the Client. (c) Attendance at meetings of Client's legislative body, when requested by Client's staff. (d) Attendance at staff meetings or meetings of property owners upon the request of the Client, after reasonable notice. (e) Attendance at staff meetings or meetings of property owners upon the request of the Client, after reasonable notice. (f) Telephone consultation with staff members and property owners to answer engineering questions about the assessment proceedings. Z-� 2. In consideration of the services set forth in Paragraph 1, Client shall pay to Engineer at charge rates shown on the attached sheet. Effective May 1, 1990, the following hourly rates will be charged for services rendered: (Rates subject to change May 1, 1991). ENGINEERING HOURLY RATES Principal (or court preparation) $102.00 Principal Planner 95.00 Senior Engineer 85.00 Project Engineer/Planner 70.00 Designer/Engineer 57.00 Draftsman 43.00 Technician 50.00 Technical Typist 30.00 SURVEYING Survey Supervisor 85.00 Two Man Survey Party 138.00 Three Man Survey Party 180.00 All travel expenses such as lodging, meals and transportation will be charged at cost. Cost of normal survey stakes and other field supplies are included in the above rates. Special type monuments, iron stakes, etc. will be charged at cost. Filing fees, checking fees, prints, and other outside costs will be charged at cost, plus service charges at the rate of 10%. "In House" prints will be charged at cost. Billing will be monthly. Invoices are due and payable upon presentation. Interest at the rate of 1% per month commencing thirty (30) days after invoice date will be charged on delinquent accounts. CSW/STUBER-STROEH Engineering Group, Inc. reserves the right to suspend work on any project when invoices have not been paid within thirty (30) days after having been rendered.
