RESOLUTION NO. 8233
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
TO
ROBERT E. WADE
WHEREAS, OFFICER WADE was first employed by the San Rafael Police
Department on September 1, 1964 and retired on November 30,
1989; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby recognized that during his twenty five years of
distinguished service with the department, he served as a
Patrol Officer, Investigator, and a Warrant Officer; and,
with common sense and a positive attitude, maintained a calm
and efficient demeanor; and
WHEREAS, OFFICER WADE, while assigned, devoted four years toward
fostering a sense of self-worth, respect for the law and
positive values within the youth of our community, and
promoting strong ties of mutual respect and cooperation
between the San Rafael Police Department and the schools
within the community; and
WHEREAS, OFFICER WADE with a ready smile and generous attitude has
gained the respect and admiration of his fellow officers,
the citizens of San Rafael and numerous colleagues
throughout the County of Marin and the State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of San Rafael,
in grateful acknowledgment of Officer Robert E. Wade's out-
standing record of service to the City of San Rafael, its
employees and residents, express sincere appreciation and
warm-hearted wishes for a successful retirement.
