A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL AUTIiORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SIX
VEHICLES FOR USE BY THE SAN RAFAEL POLICE
DEPARTMENT AS UNDER -COVER VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council authorized purchase
of used vehicles for the San Rafael Police Department and;
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids solicited for
used police vehicles for under -Cover work and;
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the General Services
Department staff and;
WHEREAS, Avis Car Sales is the low, responsible bidder
who meets these specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that the following action be taken: Purchase from
Avis Car Sales three (3) Used 4 -Door Sedans and three (3)
2 -Door Sedans in the amount of $71,916.38 tax included.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City on Monday, the 17th day of September, 1990,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Shippey, Thayer & Vice -Mayor Breiner
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Mayor Mulryan
