RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL ISSUING A CERTIFICATE OF CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY TO RADIO CAB COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Radio Cab Company submitted an application
for taxi service pursuant to the requirements of San Rafael
Municipal Code 10.60, Vehicles for Hire; and
WHEREAS, City staff and the City Council reviewed all
documents submitted therein; and
WHEREAS, a hearing regarding said application was held on
September 17, 1990, at which time public testimony was heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Radio Cab Company
has the resources to provide acceptable taxi service; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the applicant is
financially responsible and that it is likely that the proposed
service will be permanent, responsible, and satisfactory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed
equipment would provide acceptable service; and
WHEREAS, Radio Cab Company has agreed to set rates in
accordance with City Resolution No. 7509.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the approval of a
Certificate of Convenience for Radio Cab Company will not have an
adverse effect on traffic or parking; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the demands of
public convenience require such taxi service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity be issued
to Radio Cab Company to conduct a taxi service in the City of San
Rafael .
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on the 17th day of September , 1990► by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Shippey, Thayer & Vice -Mayor Breiner
NOES COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Mayor Mulryan
