A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL SUPPORTING THE BLUE RIBBON HOMELESS
WORKING GROUP FINAL REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS
WHEREAS, the Marin County Council of Mayors and Councilmembers
(MCCMC) has received the Final Report of the Blue Ribbon Homeless
Working Group and has accepted it as complete; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of San Rafael has reviewed and
discussed the five recommendations put forth in the Final Report;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of San Rafael is willing to take a
leadership stance in its community promoting the recommendations of
the report; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of San Rafael is willing to help
convene and participate in local community meetings where possible
shelter sites and day care sites are discussed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of San Rafael is willing to
negotiate through MCCMC as to various funding scenarios that would
accomplish the hiring of a Homeless Coordinator as soon as
possible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael does hereby support and endorse the
recommendations of the Final Report of the Blue Ribbon Homeless
Working Group, and is willing to participate through MCCMC as
dialogue on implementation goes forward, following adoption of the
recommendations by
all appointing bodies
(MCCMC,
Board of
Supervisors, Marin
Interfaith Council, and
Marin
Community
Foundation).
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a REGULAR meeting of the City Council
of said City held on MONDAY , the 15th day of OCTOBER
1990, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
