A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FIVE
VEHICLES FOR USE BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
AND THE PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council authorized purchase of
replacement vehicles and;
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids solicited for one
eight passenger cargo van, one 5 -passenger Mini van, one 3/4 Ton
Pickup, and two 4 -door full size Sedans and;
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the General Services
Department staff and;
WHEREAS, Hansel Ford and Steve Snyder Chevrolet are the lowest
responsible bidders.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council that
the following action be taken:
Award the contract for the vehicles as follows:
Hansel Ford - One each 8 seat cargo van for $16,149.31
One each 3/4 Ton Pickup for $14,681.39
Steve Snyder Chevrolet -
One each 5 passenger Mini van $15,614.15
Two each 4 Door Sedans $28,740.26
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the forgoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Mon AV - the 5th day of February 1990, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Breiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS None
