RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL SELECTING
A SITE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PREPARING ARCHITECTURAL STUDIES AND
PROVIDING THE BASIS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
FOR THE PROPOSED CITY/COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, The City possesses the power to build and maintain library facilities
and provide library services; and
WHEREAS, The City and the County have entered into a joint Exercise of
Powers Agreement for the planning of a joint City/County Library in downtown San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, As part of the planning for the joint City/County Library, the City
has conducted a library site evaluation study, which has identified a site on C Street
between 2nd and 3rd streets as the best site for the proposed Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby selects the site on C Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets for the proposed
City/County Library for the purpose of preparing architectural studies and providing
the basis for environmental review.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCI TI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
Regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday the Nineteenth
day of March, 1990, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro, Greiner, Shippey, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS:None
