A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT BY CITY MANAGER FOR SPECIAL SERVICES BETWEEN CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL AND THE LAW FIRM OF LIEBERT, CASSIDY & FRIERSON
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of San Rafael, does hereby
authorize City Manager Pamela J. Nicolai to sign renewal of an Agreement with
the law firm of LIEBERT, CASSIDY and FRIERSON to provide supervisory training
and other special services to the employees of the City of San Rafael.

AGREEMENT FOR SPECIAL SERVICES
This Agreement is made this clay of , 1990, between the law
firm of LIEBERT, CASSIDY & FRIERSON, A Professional Corporation, hereinafter
rcfcrred to as "Attorney", and the CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, A Municipal Corporation,
hereinafter rcfcrred to as "City"
Attorney agrees to provide legal and consultative services to the City in regard to
employer-employee relations, as reeluested by file City. The place and time for such
services are to he designated by the City through its designated represcntative(s).
The City hereby designates Attorney as its special counsel for employer-employee
relations and agrees to pay Attorney at an hourly rate of between One hundred Dollars
($100.00) and One Hundred Seventy -Five Dollars ($175.00), including reasonable travel
time and any necessary costs and expenses authorized by the City.
It is expressly understood and agreed that Attorney, while engaged in carrying out
and millplying with any of the terms of this Agreement, is an independent contractor and
is not an employee of the City.
Tile term of this Agreement will he from March 1, 1990, to February 28, 1991.
