RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
ADOPTING LIBRARY BUILDING PROGRAM FOR
JOINT CITY/ COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the City and the County of Marin desire to build a new joint
library facility in downtown San Rafael, and to this end have executed a joint
exercise of powers agreement for the planning of that library and a North San
Rafael Branch Library; and
WHEREAS, an essential aspect of planning for a new joint City/County
library facility in downtown San Rafael is a Library Building Program which is a
comprehensive source of mutually understood and approved information
establishing, among other things, square footage requirements, and functional
relationships between identifiable areas within the Library; and
WHEREAS, Raymond Holt & Associates have prepared such a Library
Building Program for the joint City/ County Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby approves and adopts the Library Building Program
prepared by Raymond Holt & Associates for the proposed joint City/County
Library.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at Special meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday
