WmLIAM C. HARRNG7O-N
WHEREAS, William Harrington began his employment with the City of
San Rafael as a Maintenance Man on May 1, 1971; and
WHEREAS, Bill, through his diligence and dedication to duty was
promoted to Senior Building Maintenance Man on July 1, 1975
and to Facility Repair Supervisor on July 1, 1988; and
WHEREAS, Bill was an invaluable member of our City team insuring that
the many facilities under his care operated properly; and
WHEREAS, Bill's expertise touched every department through the many
"green slips" sent to him; and
WHEREAS, Bill always seemed to complete his projects as if by magic -
without major disruption to any department; and
WHEREAS, Bill's even temperament and positive attitude has had a
profound effect on the lives of his fellow employees; and
WHEREAS, Bill will be sorely missed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of San Rafael
wishes to express its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Bill
Harrington for his hard work and dedication and wishes him
well in his retirement.
