RESOLUTION NO. 8203
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOhUTION OF dPPRECIdTION
TO
SAN RAFAEL 1989/90 BOYS
VARSITY BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael High School Boys Varsity Basketball
Team, for the second year in a row, brought honor
and credit to their school and their community by
becoming the North Coast Section Champions of the
California Interscholastic Federation; and
WHEREAS, the Bulldogs were undefeated in league play and were
Round Robin Champions of the Marin County Athletic
League, finishing the season with an outstanding
record of 27 wins and only 6 losses; and
WHEREAS, the thirteen member team under Coach Bret Tovani
advanced to the semi-finals of the Northern California
Interscholastic Federation Championship; and
WHEREAS, three members of the team made the Marin All League
Team and one member made the All Bay Area Team.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Rafael
hereby commends the outstanding spirit and skill
in competition exhibited by the members of the team;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby
pays tribute to the mighty Bulldogs for bringing
honor to the public education system of the City
of San Rafael.
