MESENTS THIS
RESOURION OF liPPRECIRTION
TO
ELMO VINCENT MAGGIORA
WHEREAS, ELMO VINCENT MAGGIORA has been named Marin Builders
Exchange 1989 Construction Industry Man of the Year; and
WHEREAS, he attended Tamalpais High School, Marin Junior College and
University of Nevada; and is a resident of Marin County;
and after serving in the Coast Guard during W.W.II, ELMO
returned to Marin County and, along with Babe Ghilotti,
established Maggiora & Ghilotti, Inc., in 1964; and
WHEREAS, he has been active in community and professional
organizations for many years, and is the former President
of both the Lyon's Club in Sausalito and the North Bay
Chapter of the Engineering and Grading Contractors
Association; and
WHEREAS, ELMO is being recognized for his community service, for
responsible representation of the construction industry for
over forty-one years, and to celebrate the twenty-fifth
anniversary of their firm.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council does
hereby congratulate ELMO MAGGIORA on being selected as a
1989 Construction Industry Man of the Year, and expresses
its appreciation for his dedication to San Rafael.
