A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
CERTIFYING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR AN
ORDINANCE TO AMEND TITLE 14 (ZONING)
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE FOR REZONING OF PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 26 SAN PABLO AVENUE
TO P -D (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT TO ALLOW
DEVELOPMENT FOR LAUREL GLEN,
A 25 UNIT RESIDENTIAL PROJECT
(AP 179-321-40)
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Planning Department has received
zone change, tentative map, use permit and design review applications
for a 25 unit residential project requiring adoption of a new
master plan, previously adopted by City Ordinance 1405; and
WHEREAS, an Initial Environmental Study was prepared
in accordance with the State EIR Guidelines to assess potential
environmental impacts of the proposal; and
WHEREAS, on August 15, 1989, the Planning Commission
found that the project would not create any significant adverse
impacts and recommended to the City Council the certification
of a Negative Declaration
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael
City Council finds there is no substantial evidence in the
record showing that the project may have a significant effect
on the environment and certifies the Negative Declaration for
an Ordinance to amend Title 14 (Zoning) of the Municipal Code
by rezoning the subject property to P -D District.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City on Tuesday , the 5th day of September ,
1989, by the following vote, to wit:
