WHEREAS, Steve was appointed to the Park & Recreation
Commission June 1984 and served as chair for two years; and
WHEREAS, Steve worked on several city project teams
including the Pickleweed Park Master Plan Task Force, the East
San Rafael Neighborhood Advisory Committee, the General Plan 3000
Technical Advisory Committee, the Anderson Drive Citi ens'
Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Steve contributed his time and talent as a
landscape architect and parent to design and help install the
Short School Children's Playground; and
WHEREAS, Steve representee' the city on the Pickleweecl
Community Center Advisory Board to review building use anO
recreation programs; and
WHEREAS, Steve as a landscape architect Offered advice
to the city and nark staff on landscape matters which translated
into cost savings to the cite.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby extends its gratitude and appreciation to
Steve Arago for his devoted service to the communit'�7 as a member
of the Park and. Recreation Commission and wishes him well.
