RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL CERTIFYING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION
FOR THE CONVERSION OF TRAFFIC FLOW ON "A"
STREET TO TWO-WAY
WHEREAS, on June 19, 1989, the City of San Rafael
Redevelopment Agency reviewed the feasibility of converting the traffic
flow on "A" Street to two-way and directed that an Initial Study
be prepared; and
WHEREAS, an Initial Environmental Study was prepared
in accordance with the State EIR Guidelines to assess potential
environmental impacts of the proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Initial Study was completed on June 30,
1989, and showed no significant environmental impacts to be generated
by the proposal, and the Initial Study and supporting documents were
presented to the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael finds there is no substantial evidence
in the record showing that the project may have a significant effect
on the environment and certifies the Negative Declaration for the
project.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 17th day of July , 1989, by the
following vote, to wit:
