HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 7906 (Urban System Committee)RESOLUTION NO. 7906 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FIVE-YEAR FEDERAL AID URBAN PROGRAM COMMENCING FY 1989-90 RECOMMENDED BY THE MARIN COUNTY URBAN SYSTEM COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael desires to continue to par- ticipate in the Federal Aid Urban program for funding approved transportation projects as authorized by the Federal Highway Act of 1973 and succeeding amendments; and WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Act, the State Transportation Board, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission require that a program of projects approved for Federal Aid Urban funding be estab- lished by a county -wide committee consisting of representatives from each City, the County, Transit District, Caltrans, Golden Gate Bridge District, and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has approved procedures for the Federal Aid Urban and the formation of the Marin County Urban System Committee; and WHEREAS, the Marin County Urban System Committee did meet to review the program and new projects which had been submitted for consideration as part of the five-year program; and WHEREAS, the Marin County Urban System Committee did approve a five year Federal Aid Program on December 14, 1988; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael does hereby approve the five-year Federal Aid Urban Program of projects beginning FY 1989-90 recommended by the Marin County Urban System Committee as specified in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin for approval as the Marin County Federal Aid Urban System Program. I, JEANNE M.
