CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
RES060TION OF RPPI ECIdTION
SAN RAFAEL 1988/89 BOYS
VARSITY BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team has
brought honor and credit to their City, their school and
their community; and
WHEREAS, the twelve member team and coach Bret Tovani finished the
season with an outstanding record of 27 wins and only 6
losses; and
WHEREAS, the mighty Bulldogs were undefeated in League Play and were
Round Robin Champions of the Marin County Athletic League;
and
WHEREAS, the skill, dedication to hard work, and determination
enabled the Bulldogs to become North Coast Section
Champions of the California Interscholastic Federation; and
WHEREAS, this team advanced to the Semi -Finals of the Northern
California CIF Championship.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of San Rafael hereby
endorses the spirit of wholesome competition exhibited by
these young men; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael, on behalf of all the citizens of the Mission City,
hereby pays tribute to the San Rafael MCAL and NCS
Champions for bringing high honor throughout all of
Northern California to the public education system in the
City of San Rafael.
