CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
JEAN FREITAS
WHEREAS, Jean Freitas has been permanent staff working full
time since beginning on the General Plan, and was promoted in 1987
to Senior Planner for advanced planning in recognition of ex-
emplary performance and expertise; and
WHEREAS, Jean was one of the princ:nal authors of the
General Plan, was part of the team that prod.;ced the draft in a
nine month time period, and has been personally responsible for
the majority of individual responses to correspondence and tes-
timony on the Plan; and
WHEREAS, she selflessly worked h^.:rs cf overtime over twc
and one half years in preparing the draft, revisions and finnl
form of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, Jean supervised temporary and permanent staff on
the Plan, and did an outstandinq Job of coordinating with consult-
ants and with City departments and numerous outside agencies and
groups; and
WHEREAS, Jean demonstrated significant personal growth and
outstanding expertise in advanced planning, and made well or-
ganized clear presentations to the Commission and Council. and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL of the
City of San Rafael expresses to Jean its appreciation for her
dedication and excellent contributions to the General Plan.
