RESOLUTION NO. 7782
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
PLANNING COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission first participated in
developing the General Plan in community workshops in the Spring
of 1986, and began reviewing the draft General Plan in October of
1986; and
WHEREAS, durinq the review process members of the
Commission included Sue Scott, Joyce Rifkind, Dick O'Brien, Al
Boro, Bob Livingston, Michael Smith, Paul Cohen, Ross Cobb,
Maynard Willes and Peter Wals; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission spent many hours holding
numerous extra public workshops, hearings and decision making
meetings durina the year lc -)q review process- and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission thoughtfully considered
the many divergent points of view on the multitude of issues and
policies contained in the Plan; and
WHEREAS, as a result of its deliberations, after hours of
public input and its resulting revisions to the draft, a Rmooth
and efficient process was possible at the Council level -
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT TSE CITY COUNCIL of the
City of San Rafael expresses its appreciation to the Planninq
Commission for its efforts over the past two and a half years in
producing the General Plan.
