CITY OF SCAN RAFAEL
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
RICHARD ZOELLNER
WHEREAS, RICHARD ZOELLNER has been named Marin Builders
Exchange 1988 Construction Industry Man of the Year; and
WHEREAS, he moved to Marin County shortly after his birth
and has made his home here ever since; and
WHEREAS, DICK began working in the construction industry
while he was in high school and, after four years in the U.S. Navy
64th Seabee Battalion, received his general contractor's license
and returned to Marin County to begin business; and
WHEREAS, many of Marin County's schools were built by Zoellner
Construction, as well as the Marin Municipal Water District
building in Corte Madera, and numerous other commercial structures;
and
WHEREAS, DICK has been the construction manager for several
commercial developments, such as the Marin Resource Recovery
building in San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, he has been active in and supportive of youth
and service organizations in Marin County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council does hereby congratulate DICK ZOELLNER on being selected
the 1988 Construction Industry Man of the Year, and expresses
its appreciation for his dedication and contribution to the
San Rafael community.
