RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PICKLEWEED PARK
MASTER PLAN AND CERTIFYING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION
FOR THE PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the Draft General Plan 2000 calls for the
update of the Pickleweed Park Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized Moore, Iacofano
& Goltsman to complete a Community Needs Assessment, Design
Guidelines and a Conceptual Master Plan for Pickleweed Park; and
WHEREAS, the Pickleweed Park Task Force representative
of the community was appointed and has provided guidance, input
and final approval of the proposed Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Park & Recreation Commission has
reviewed and approved the Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the Master
Plan on March 15, 1988 and found it to be consistent with the Draft
General Plan 2000 goals and policies; and
WHEREAS, in March 1988 an initial environmental study was
completed and no significant adverse environmental effects were
identified; and
WHEREAS, a Negative Declaration was prepared and
submitted consistent with the California Environment Quality Act; and
WHEREAS; the time period of CEQA review has expired and
no substantive comments were received regarding significant
environmental impacts,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby does certify a Negative Declaration
and adopt the Pickleweed Park Community Master Plan.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City on Monday, the 18th day of April, 1988, by the following vote, to wit:
