RESOLUTION OF 11PPRECUITION
RICHARD ROGERS
WHEREAS, RICHARD ROGERS, General Manager of the Marin Municipal
Water District, will retire from his position on
May 31, 1988; and
WHEREAS, Dick's departure will end a fifteen year career with
the District, which has included a drought, and massive
water conservation campaigns; and
WHEREAS, as General Manager, during the 1976/77 drought, Dick
negotiated for the rights to place a pipeline across
the Richmond -San Rafael Bridge that brought 10 million
gallons of water daily into Marin; and
WHEREAS, Dick's untiring dedication, determination and outstand-
ing community service have contributed to the enhancement
of the quality life in Marin County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council
expresses its appreciation to Dick Rogers for his
contributions to San Rafael, and extends its best
wishes to him on the occasion of his retirement from
the Marin Municipal Water District.
