A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL SETTING FEE FOR NOTICE OF INTENTION
TO CIRCULATE AN INITIATIVE PETITION
(AT $100)
WHEREAS, Section 4002(b) of the California Elections
Code authorizes the legislative body to set a fee for the filing
of a notice of intention to circulate an initiative petition;
and
WHEREAS, the amount of this fee should be sufficient
to cover the cost of having the City Attorney prepare an
impartial analysis and title for the measure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael establishes a fee of $100 for the
filing of a notice of intention to circulate an initiative
petition, which fee shall be refundable to the filer if, within
one year of the date of filing the notice of intent, the City
Clerk certifies the sufficiency of the petition.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of San Rafael on Tuesday , the
Nineteenth day of January , 1988, by the
