RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE OF $3,000 FOR DEMOLITION OF THE
SWIMMING POOL ON THE GROUNDS OF FALKIRK CULTURAL CENTER
WHEREAS, the plywood decking covering the swimming
pool on the grounds of Falkirk Cultural Center is
deteriorating, and poses a potential hazard; and
WHEREAS, to eliminate this potential hazard staff
recommends draining the pool and filling it with concrete
and dirt; and
WHEREAS, this action will also be compatible with plans
to create a garden area where the swimming pool now is.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby authorizes an expenditure of
$3,000 from funds already budgeted for Falkirk capital
improvements to drain the swimming pool and fill it with
dirt and concrete.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Mondav the Seventh day of
March, 1988, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Thayer & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Boro
