RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO APPLY FOR LIBRARY SERVICES CONSTRUCTION
ACT GRANT, "OLDER ADULTS MATERIALS COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT
1987/88".
WHEREAS, The California State Library administers and
awards federal Library Services Construction Act (LSCA)
funds; and
WHEREAS, The California State Library is making LSCA
funds available to local library jurisdictions for the
purchase of books and other materials for older adults under
the "Older Adults Materials Collection Development Program";
and
WHEREAS, San Rafael has an older population which is
continuing to increase, and the Library has actively to
provide services for that population through its Outreach
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby authorizes staff to apply for and
receive LSCA funds for the purchase of books and other
materials for older adults.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael hereby certify that the forgoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a Reaular
meeting of the City Council of said City held on Mondav
the 7th day of March , 1988 by the following vote
to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS:None
