RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL EXTENDING AND AMENDING THE AGREEMENT
WITH BIDAURETTA AND URRUTIA FOR THE GRAZING OF
SHEEP IN TERRA LINDA OPEN SPACE LANDS
Upon application of John Bidauretta and Leon Urrutia
therefor, and due cause being shown this City Council,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the time within which the
grazing of sheep in Terra Linda Open Space Lands provided for
in that certain Agreement between the CITY OF SAN RAFAEL and
JOHN BIDAURETTA and LEON URRUTIA, dated March 16, 1987, be and
it is hereby extended to and including the 16th day of March,
1989, subject to Bidauretta and Urrutia complying with the follow-
ing conditions which hereby amend said agreement and are incorpora-
ted therein by this reference:
1) the grazing shall be limited to a maximum of 700
sheep;
2) the lands of San Domenico shall be grazed first (this
will take approximately 2 - 3 weeks);
3) all the lands adjacent to private properties shall
be grazed first with ridgelines being grazed subsequent
to the perimeter of the open space;
4) the sheep shall be corralled at different locations
every night in order to prevent overgrazing or the
tramping of grass in certain areas;
5) City staff shall review, on a daily basis, the grazing
pattern and corral location;
6) the sheep shall be removed from the Open Space no
later than mid June:
7) the grazing program shall start no earlier than
April 1st, 1988.
8) In the event the City determines there is insufficient
feed available, the lands must be vacated in order
to prevent damage to the open space lands. This
may occur prior to the mid-June move out.

San Rafael, California, hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of said City held on the 21st
day of March, 1988, by the following vote, to wit:
