HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 7578 (Canal Dredging Assessment District)RESOLUTION NO. 7578 RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMPROVEMENTS SAN RAFAEL CANAL DREDGING ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 The City Council of the City of San Rafael resolves: A public hearing for which notice has been given by publication and posting has been held as to the public convenience and necessity of the improvements in San Rafael Canal Dredging Assessment District No. 1. This Council has heard and considered all the evidence, both oral and written, relative to the public convenience and necessity of the construction of improvements, and finds that the public convenience and necessity require the following improvements proposed to be constructed in San Rafael Canal Dredging Assessment District No. 1. Provide funding to reimburse the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers for additional disposal costs associated with dredging the San Rafael main channel from San Rafael Bay to the Grand Avenue Bridge. and further determines that the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 shall not apply to these assessment proceedings and that this project shall proceed in accordance with the terms and provisions of the Municipal Improvement Act of 1913. n I, JEANNE M.
