RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
ACCEPTING $7,625 ART IN PUBLIC PLACES GRANT FROM THE NATIONAL
ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS FOR THE FALKIRK GARDEN PROJECT
WHEREAS, Falkirk Cultural Center provides the citizens of
San Rafael a rich and varied program of cultural activities,
including public works of art; and
WHEREAS, The National Endowment for the Arts has awarded
Falkirk Cultural Center a $7,625 Art In Public Places Grant for
the placement of outdoor sculptures, project title "The Garden
Project"; and
WHEREAS, The Cultural Affairs Commission and staff recommend
that the City Council accept this grant award from the National
Endowment for the Arts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby accepts the $7,625 National Endowment for
the Arts grant for the Falkirk Garden Project, and designates the
Director of Cultural Affairs the Authorizing Official, the
individual delegated authority to enter into contracts and accept
this grant for the City of San Rafael.

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a --ilegi,lar meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday the
Fifth day of October , 1987, by the following vote to
wit:
