A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION
OF MATERIALS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES THROUGH THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA WHEN THE STATE REPRESENTS
THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER
WHEREAS, it is the policy determination of the San Rafael
City Council to secure all commodities at the lowest price while
retaining the attributes of quality, price and services; and
WHEREAS, towards this end the City has charged the Purchasing
Division with the responsibility of securing the best price advantage
from the lowest, responsible bidder and
WHEREAS, in the past, the State of California, Office of Pro-
curement, has infrequently been referenced as a bidder although some
purchases are available through this source;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council,
as follows:
That the Office of Procurement, Department of General Services
of the State of California is hereby authorized to purchase various
materials, supplies, equipment and services for and on behalf of
the City of San Rafael pursuant to Section 14814 of the Government
Code, and that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to sign and deliver all necessary requests and other documents in
connection therewith for and on behalf of the City of San Rafael.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a Regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on Tuesday, the 17th day of February, 1987, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
