RESOLUTION NO. 7515
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL AMENDING RESOLUTION 7206 BY CREATING
THE NEW CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE RECRUIT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES AS
Effective April 6, 1987, the following classification and
salary are hereby created:
Title Wage Class Monthly Salary
Police Recruit 6109 $2,213.95
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this is a civilian, non -sworn
classification for use while attending a P.O.S.T. certified Basic Police
Academy. Employees in this classification shall receive the same
insurance benefits available to Police Officers. Incumbents shall be
miscellaneous retirement members and exempt from Government Codes 4850
and 3300 through 3311 until successful completion of a designated Police
Academy. Upon successful completion of said Police Academy, incumbents
shall be sworn in as Police Officers, placed in the Safety Retirement
cagetory, and begin the standard eighteen month probationary period of
the Police Officer classification.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on
MONDAY , the SIXTH day of APRIL , 1987, by the
following vote, to wit:
